Iron Man Mark 42
Movie: Iron Man 3
Brand: Hasbro
Year: 2013
Description: MARK 42 Iron Man armor. This is the Assemblers version, designed to combine one or more armors to assemble a custom one.
Additional information: it comes in a simple box, easy to open. Once you cut the tape on the lower lid you get a translucent plastic tray with the pieces. They come off easily without tearing up the tray.
The torso and the head are in one piece, and the head turns in 360° (that’s creepy xD), but it doesn’t come off. The torso has a “pipe” in which the arms are inserted. The arms aren’t articulated at the elbows, but are easy to put on.
The legs are slightly difficult to put on, but once they’re in they fit better than the arms. There’s no articulation at the knees either.
Even so, the whole figure has a good detail level, considering they’re designed to interchange pieces instead of being poseable (unlike the Avengers movie figures).
Tony Stark’s ARC Reactor & Mark VI ARC Reactor
Movie: Iron Man II
Brand: Hasbro
Year: 2010
Description: Tony Stark’s ARC reactor and the ARC reactor as seen when he’s wearing MARK VI armor.
Additional information: when the center of both reactors is pressed, it emits sounds and lights. the lights are yellow (personally I would’ve preferred them with blue LEDs instead of yellow ones), and there’s no way to keep them permanently on.
Even so, the level of detail, considering that they’re made out of plastic, is quite good.
Both ARC reactors could be attached to the clothes with another piece of plastic.
I bought it at a local anime store, but depending on where do you live you could buy it online, whether in online stores on your country, or worldwide in sites such as Ebay.
Deluxe Identity Disk: Sam Flynn
Movie: TRON: Legacy
Brand: Spin Master
Year: 2010
Description: Sam Flynn’s ID Disk from the movie. It is used for recording data in the TRON system.
Additional information: I didn’t opened it because it was a gift for a friend, but I wanted to post the info anyways. The package is a little bit damaged but the disk batteries are still working XD.
Green Lantern ring
Movie: Green Lantern the Movie
Brand: Mattel
Year: 2010
Description: This GL ring came with the Abin Sur figure I bought. Based on the design of the ring that Abin Sur gives to Hal Jordan in the movie, it is small put quite detailed for being a non-collectors targeted product.
Additional Information: Each figure of the collection comes with the same ring… A bit dissapointing since you could end with enough rings to run your own corps if you collect all the figures ._.U
Couldn’t have been better if Mattel have sold the ring separately?
Next time I’m going to post some merchandising of only one specific series or movies, and so on. Any suggestion?
And remember you can submit your own things, just follow the style in which I posted the information. And if you don’t know some details, I’ll try to look for them.
Also, you can ask about anything related here. But please, I don’t sell anything or know where things can be sold, I’ll just post info about merchandising.
Hope you like it!
Bunny Ears
Series: Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu
Brand: MR Hall - probably not an official product.
Year: 2006
Description: Bunny ears headband, just like the one Haruhi uses when she wears her Bunny girl suit.
Additional information: I bought it to wear them along my Haruhi Suzumiya cosplay, although I was wearing the winter school uniform.
Hoenn Pokedex
Series: Pokemon
Brand: TOMY / Hasbro
Year: 2003
Description: Hoenn pokedex, it features info about generation III pokemon. It has a game in which you can choose a place to find pokemon and “catch” them if you identify it. This allows you to unlock more options. It works with three AAA batteries (not included)
Additional information: I bought it in a second hand store, cleaned it and repaired, but it works perfectly!
State Alchemist Watch
Series: Fullmetal Alchemist
Brand: ? (bootleg)
Year: 2005
Description: State Alchemist “identification”. This one is Edward Elric’s one, because it has the inscription “Don’t forget 3.oct.11” “, though it is written in a different direction than it is depicted in the manga/anime.
It works with one watch battery, and can be used as a real pocket watch.
Additional information: Another prop I used for a cosplay contest. I really love it, is one of my favorite possesions ^^
Digivice
Series: Digimon
Brand: Bandai / Mattel
Year: 2000
Description: Tai’s Digivice from the first season of the series. It is an electronic game in which you can raise a digimon (any of the 8 main ones from the first season) and make it fight against evil digimons to unlock the another ones. As you walk, it counts the steps. It can be connected with another digivice to battle against a friend’s digimon. It works with two LR44 batteries (included).
Additional information: I bought it on 2001 I guess. It still works but the belt clip is broken (and I guess I lost the piece… what a shame!). I don’t have the package either =/ , but I still have the instructions xD
